First of the two houses of the field station now wrapped up! Took three men only 3,5h to do this… The work will continue after lunch.
This is the side which gets most of the rain and wind. The plastic helps to protect the wooden structures from water and thus rotting down. Also wind doesn’t get into the house and to the patio there.
All this comes down in November when the new project season starts.
The big blue tanks you see here are for collecting the rain water. They’re commonly used all over Thailand. The collected water can then be used for laundry, gardening, cooking and after filtering even drinking. And it’s free 🙂
